New Audio Features In Docs
Seemingly inspired by NotebookLM, Docs will now allow users to create full audio versions of their documents or podcast-style overviews of key highlights.
This update aims to make it easier for users to both consume and review content. This should help work get done on the go, such as during commute times.
Help Me Refine Tool
The help me refine tool is a new AI assistant that will help with suggestions on how to strengthen your argument, improve the structure of your piece, or make your key points clearer.
Google says it aims to not just fix but help users become more effective communicators over time.
Help Me Analyze Tool
The help me analyze tool will help users extract more key information from their data, like an on hand analyst.
The tool will guide users on where to begin with their analysis. It will make sure to highlight potential trends they might have initially missed and even suggest further steps for deeper investigation as well as create clear, interactive charts to visualize the data.
The tool aims to make powerful data analysis accessible to everyone on a team, regardless of their spreadsheet expertise
Generate Video Content With Vids
Vids is the newest iteration of video creation from Google.
The app will sit within Workplace itself and be able to generate original video clips.
It will work on Google’s powerful Veo 2 model. Veo includes the ability to edit existing videos using text commands, maintain visual consistency across frames, and generate video sequences lasting up to and beyond 60 seconds from a single prompt or a series of prompts that form a narrative.
Gemini Integration Into Google Meet
Gemini, Google’s large language model, will be integrated into Google Meet to act as a personal assistant.
Users who join late can ask "What did I miss?" to get a recap. They can also ask for clarification on specific topics or decisions and even refine their points with AI before speaking without leaving the Meet window.
New Google Workspace Flows Platform
The new Google Workspace Flows Platform aims to automate multi-step workflows using AI.
It uses "Gems," which are custom AI agents built with Gemini, to handle specialized tasks.
Workspace Flows can access files in Google Drive for context and use custom-trained Gems to perform actions like checking if marketing copy aligns with brand voice, reviewing policy documents, or intelligently sorting customer support tickets.
