Content Rules

1. Originality

All content submitted to EM360Tech must be original and unpublished elsewhere. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and may result in a permanent ban from submitting content to the platform.

2. Minimum word count

Articles must be at least 1,000 words. Content should offer meaningful insight and depth, not high-level commentary or filler. There is no hard upper word limit, but most submissions fall between 1,000 and 3,000 words.

3. Language

Content must be written in clear, concise English. Avoid unnecessary jargon and explain technical terms so the piece is accessible to a broad professional audience.

4. Consent for publication

Content attributed on behalf of an individual or organisation must be submitted with their verbal or written consent to publish. Requests for amendments, retractions, or post removal after publication are handled at the editor’s discretion.

Where content includes details, images, or video relating to an identifiable individual, written informed consent must be obtained. This consent must allow publication under the Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0, meaning the material will be freely available online.

5. Structure and formatting

All submissions must follow EM360Tech’s editorial structure and writing standards.

In practice, this means:

  • Content must be written in UK English
  • Headings must follow EM360Tech casing rules:
    • H1 and H2 headings in Title Case
    • H3 and lower headings in sentence case
  • Articles must be clearly structured using H2 and H3 headings to support readability and flow
  • Writing should be clear, and easy to understand for a professional but non-academic audience
  • Submissions must be grammar-checked and proofread before submission

Use of statistics and data

Where statistics, research findings, or quantitative claims are included, the information must be:

  • Accurate and factually correct
  • Verifiable from a credible, original source
  • Clearly attributed within the body of the text

Example:

“According to the World Economic Forum Global Cybersecurity Outlook 2024, ransomware remains one of the most significant operational risks facing large enterprises.”

Submissions that include unverified statistics, vague references (such as “a recent study” or “research shows”), or missing source attribution may be returned for revision or rejected.

Visuals are encouraged where they add clarity or value. All images must include descriptive alt text that clearly explains what the visual shows.

If images are not created by the author, they must include clear attribution in the caption. The source must be named in a simple, readable format.

Examples:

Source: WEF Global Cybersecurity Outlook 2024

Source: Pixabay – username

Articles that do not meet basic structure, clarity, or language standards may be returned for revision.

6. Linking

Outbound links are not permitted in user-submitted editorial content and will be removed during editing.

If you are enquiring about sponsored content or commercial partnerships please contact info@em360tech.com directly.

7. Hateful or harmful content

We do not allow content that promotes or normalises violence, harassment, or hatred against individuals or groups based on characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, disability, disease, age, orientation, gender, or gender identity.

We also prohibit content that glorifies, trivialises, or excuses violence, abuse, suffering, or death. This includes misleading statistics, pseudoscience, or claims used to dehumanise or marginalise others. Slurs, harmful stereotypes, misgendering, or ableist language are not permitted.

8. Originality and AI-generated content

All content submitted to EM360Tech must be original and written by a human author.

We do not accept AI-generated content. All submissions are checked using multiple AI-detection tools as part of our editorial review process.

Using AI tools for research support, outlining, or editing assistance is acceptable, but the final article must reflect original thinking, analysis, and human-written prose.

Failure to comply with this policy may result in content removal and suspension from future submissions.
