Taiwan-listed BizLink Holding has agreed to acquire Singapore-headquartered Interplex Datacom for US$850 million. This is being described as one of the largest data centre supply chain deals to come out of Asia this year. According to Reuters, the all-cash transaction, announced on Wednesday, 10 June, positions BizLink to become a full-service provider of both electrical and structural components for AI server infrastructure at a moment when demand across the region shows no sign of slowing down.

The deal assigns Interplex Datacom an enterprise value of US$850 million. An additional US$50 million in contingent consideration may be paid out depending on future performance milestones, meaning the total could reach US$900 million, but only if those conditions are met. BizLink plans to fund the transaction through existing cash reserves and committed debt financing arranged by Citigroup.

What Each Company Brings to the Table

BizLink is already a recognisable name in data centre supply chains. The Taiwan-listed company manufactures wire harnesses, connectors and cables which are the electrical and connectivity layer that keeps servers talking to one another. It serves hyperscale customers across several industries, but data centre work has become an increasingly central part of its business.

Interplex Datacom occupies a different part of the AI infrastructure value chain. The Singapore-based company, a division of Ennovi and a portfolio company of funds managed by Blackstone, manufactures the structural and mechanical components that form the physical framework of AI server racks. These include the chassis, brackets and precision-engineered enclosures that house and support critical hardware. This segment has grown sharply as data centre operators race to deploy denser, more powerful server configurations to support AI workloads. Together, BizLink says the combined business will function as a "one-stop shop" for integrated data centre solutions, handling both what goes inside a rack and what holds it together.

Why Asia?

In an article published on BizLink's website, CEO and co-founder Felix Teng outlined the strategic rationale behind the acquisition.

“Asia is the fastest-growing region for AI data centre deployment, and our customers need partners who can anticipate their future needs and scale at pace,” he said. “Interplex Datacom's manufacturing depth, design capabilities and customer relationships across the region support the growth and momentum we have already built.”

The strategy reflects broader investment trends across the region. Hyperscalers, including Google, Microsoft and Amazon, have committed billions of dollars to expanding data centre capacity across Southeast Asia and the wider Asia-Pacific in recent years, with Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia among the most active markets. The region's established manufacturing ecosystem has also made it a key production base for the components used in AI infrastructure.

Against that backdrop, the acquisition gives BizLink immediate scale. Interplex Datacom generated approximately US$392 million in revenue for the 12 months ended 31 March 2025 and employs more than 1,900 people. Its manufacturing facilities span China, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand, providing BizLink with an operational footprint across several of Asia's major industrial hubs.

Blackstone's Exit

For Blackstone, the world's largest alternative asset manager, the sale marks the end of an investment that began in 2022 when it acquired Interplex from Baring Private Equity Asia for an undisclosed sum. During that period, Interplex Datacom expanded its position as a supplier of structural components for AI infrastructure, while Ennovi will now concentrate on its remaining electrification components and medical devices businesses.

The transaction also highlights growing investor interest in the hardware underpinning AI deployment. While much of the focus has been on chips and software, companies that manufacture the physical infrastructure supporting data centres have also attracted increasing attention as AI investment accelerates.

What Happens Next

The transaction remains subject to standard regulatory and closing conditions and is expected to be completed in the second half of 2026. Once finalised, BizLink will inherit a business with established customer relationships, cross-regional manufacturing scale and a product portfolio that complements its existing catalogue.

For data centre operators in Asia, the combination brings together connectivity components and mechanical rack architecture under a single supplier. This may simplify procurement as server rack designs continue to evolve to support higher density and thermal demands associated with AI workloads.
