
Leeds United football club have issued an apology after customer card details were compromised during a cyber attack.
The football club confirmed that they have been in direct contact with all of those impacted and will continue to work with the UK's data protection watchdog, Informational Commissioners Office, on managing the damage. They have offered their ‘sincere apologies to anyone who has been adversely affected.’
The attack lasted for five days before discover, with hackers able to access all the information they could get between February 19th and 24th.

New measures have already been put into place to recover from the attack. A forensic investigation by a specialist third party was commissioned as soon as the breach was discovered.
