Big Data LDN 2023, the UK’s leading data, analytics and AI event, is right around the corner – promising two days of fascinating stories, intuitive discussions, and inspirational speakers.

Taking place at the Olympia in London on 20-21 September, this year’s event features 15 theatres and 300 speakers discussing everything from generative AI to Datamesh to DataOps to Observability.

Kate Strachnyi, a Data Visualisation Specialist and the Founder of DATAcated, is one of the official speakers at Big Data LDN 2023.

A LinkedIn Top Voice of Data Science and Analytics in 2018 and 2019, Kate is an expert in data storytelling, dashboard techniques and visual best practices, and is the host of the DATAcated Conference and the DATAcated On Air Podcast.

At Big Data LDN 2023, she'll be delving deep into the importance of colour in data visualisation and collaborating with her fellow DataVengers in an all-star union that promises to create an electric atmosphere and ignite inspiration and innovation among attendees.

EM360’s Ellis Stewart spoke with Kate about her role in Big Data in LDN 2023 and why the event is so important in today’s data-driven enterprise landscape.

Ellis: Big Data LDN 2023 is right around the corner. What are some of the trends you can see leading the discussion at this year’s conference?

Kate: Generative AI. That will probably be the main topic at the event this year. It's taken the world by storm and we can't seem to stop talking about it – and for good reason!

Ellis: As an official speaker at the event, you’ll be revealing how data professionals can become ColorWise in 2023. Without spoilers, could you give us a sneak peek into some of the key topics you’ll be talking about?

Kate: We'll talk about the intentional use of color in data visualization and storytelling and cover some best practices for leveraging colors to deliver insights more effectively.

Ellis: Big Data LDN will bring ten of DataVengers together under one roof. What can attendees expect from this all-star union of thought leaders?

Kate: FUN! You can expect to have a lot of fun with the DataVengers- we have several adventures we'll be taking part in together in London. I can't reveal too much - you'll have to be there to see for yourself.

Ellis: What is the big data trend you’re most excited about in 2023?

Kate: I'm personally excited about all of the innovative developments in bridging the gap between business users and data - with new tools that allow users to 'ask questions' from their data directly.
