In this interview, Shubhangi Dua, Podcast Host, Producer and B2B Tech Journalist at EM360Tech, speaks to Don Murray, Co-Founder and CEO of Safe Software, at Big Data LDN 2026 at Kensington Olympia, London.
The talk of the town is, of course, AI, but Murray tells Dua that now we’re seeing C-suite concerns over data security and how AI can be deployed safely. In the past, at BDL conferences, enterprises were excited about the possibilities, but now security concerns have taken over the floor.
“A lot of the data that’s in legacy systems will not be accessible by AI. That’s where Anthropic’s MCP technology comes in,” he tells Dua, adding that Safe Software is looking to help enterprises safely use their data with AI through MCP.
When asked about what tech enterprises are getting completely wrong about AI, Murray tells Dua that everybody is focused on frontier models. “Enterprises should know that they shouldn’t just deploy one AI but actually should be using many AI models, like some on-prem, some frontier.”
“The token costs are something that everybody is going to have to think about. Token costs are going crazy.” If enterprises see their token costs go way above range, they need to evaluate the use of some of the AI models deployed.
