As official media partners of Infosecurity Europe, the EM360Tech team attended the event on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, to interview IT leadership from across the cybersecurity industry.

“There are many different ways people are storing data, and our enterprise is about ensuring that the storage of data is secure, be it on the cloud or elsewhere for backup or personal protection. We’re talking about backup strategies.”
For instance, three copies of data on two types of media, with a copy offline and encrypted. Apricorn advises constantly testing those copies to make sure that they’re recoverable and without errors, and an immutable copy. That means it cannot be changed once it's tested owing to its legitimacy and therefore cannot be corrupted.
On the other side, Fielding says that while Apricorn is not in the AI game, they are definitely affected by it. “We find that the price of memory is now going through the roof and we’re trying to keep pace with that and ensure our pricing is not out of alignment with the AI increases.”
Alluding to cryptography, Apricorn’s Managing Director tells Dua that it’s fundamental to what they do. “Cryptography needs to be implemented properly to ensure protection and reap the benefits from it.”
“If you want any kind of protection, cryptography is critical to that.”
He added that while cryptography may seem like a dark art, you want to make it simple and automated. Therefore, enterprises using cryptography, “they want to ensure that they’re not introducing any new hurdles and they’re making it easy for their clients and employees.”
