This week, Ben Lorica, Chief Data Scientist at O'Reilly Media, joins us for our Ask the Expert podcast. As well as his role at O'Reilly Media, Ben is Program Director of both the Strata Data Conference and the Artificial Intelligence Conference. He also has a wealth of experience in different settings such as direct marketing and financial engineering. 

In this episode, Ben discusses the implications of AI on privacy and ethics. Firstly, he defines what AI bias is and provides examples of where it has occurred. Then, Ben goes into how AI bias makes its way into systems and whether it could ever account for the uniqueness of all humans. Finally, he shares his thoughts on the best- and worst-case scenarios for the future of AI.
