As official media partners of Infosecurity Europe, the EM360Tech team attended the event on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, to interview IT leadership from across the cybersecurity industry.
In this vox pop, Shubhangi Dua, Podcast Host and Tech Journalist at EM360Tech, interviews Mike Britton, Chief Information Officer at Abnormal AI. Britton also served as a panellist at an Infosecurity Europe 2026 session on Preventing BEC & Breaches: CISO Panel on the Convergence of AI + Email Security.
Alluding to the session, Britton tells Dua that the panel discussion spotlighted Anthropic Mythos, AI, and the concerns that keep everyone up at night.
The biggest challenge, according to Britton, is the pace of innovation and how fast things are moving.
“You used to have 18 months to catch up, and now you might have 18 days.” He says that that's a challenge for all enterprises. “Attackers are taking advantage of this pace of innovation, and defenders are having a tough time staying on top of it.”
When asked about cryptography, Britton shares some concerns as quantum starts to become more mainstream. “That’s going to force us to look at the current algorithms. It’s going to require innovation again. However, with AI capabilities, we always tend to rise to the occasion when we need to.”
