“Use Evals to Make AI Work For You” | Dael Williamson, EMEA CTO, Databricks @ Big Data LDN

“We see a lot of structured data," but “increasingly we’re starting to look at documents, images in Databricks, essentially we’re seeing an expansion,” Dael Williamson, EMEA CTO, Databricks, tells Shubhangi Dua, Podcast Producer and Tech Journalist, EM360Tech at Big Data LDN 2025.

In this voxpop interview, the EMEA CTO at Databricks highlights that people are finally beginning to realise that organisations need better maps to navigate through complex systems of engagement work.

Williamson also emphasises that “we need to start mapping the world” by figuring out how the supply chain works and how the traffic works. “People are starting to think less about the plumbing and more about the maps of different domains in the real-world.”

Referring to the main theme of the event, he advises organisations to use evaluations to make AI work for them.
