Elon Musk is expected to join a large AI chip enterprise, ASML’s internal tech conference today [June 11, 2026], virtually. Ahead of the SpaceX Initial Public Offering (IPO), Musk plans to discuss Terafab at this colloquium.

Terafab is a semiconductor and AI computing initiative undertaken by Tesla, IPO-bound SpaceX and xAI. The project is designed to supply Musk-owned enterprises with a huge chipmaking plant

ASML's annual conference is scheduled to wind up by 5 pm local time (3 pm GMT); however, it’s uncertain when he is expected to speak.

"Musk will share his vision on AI, robotics, space, and semiconductor manufacturing," a spokesperson at ASML noted in a statement.

With the SpaceX IPO also expected to go live tomorrow [Friday, June 12], Musk’s speech is anticipated to be critical.

Elon Musk SPCX IPO Draws 250B+ Investor Demand

The SpaceX IPO (SPCX.O) is projected to be the largest-ever. According to Reuters sources, the Musk-owned aerospace and AI company has drawn over 250 billion of investor demand. This surpasses the $75 billion SpaceX announced it was seeking to raise.

Additionally, the source told Reuters that the deal's oversubscription rate is running at three and a half to four times the planned offering size, which bankers and investors say is the latest sign that demand is strong.

“Long-only funds have put in what one source described as sizable orders. Musk briefly joined some Zoom meetings with potential investors,” Reuters’ source added.

It would be timely for Musk to present virtually at the Dutch AI chip tool giant’s “internal event for employees only.”

The SpaceX stock under ticker symbol–SPCX will open with an IPO this Friday [June 12, 2026] after its official listing on Nasdaq. The IPO is expected to be priced at $135 per share.

Musk’s Terafab X ASML Lithography

ASML presides largely over the lithography tools and machinery printing chips industry. Last month, the Dutch firm’s CEO, Christophe Fouquet, confirmed his talks with Musk on the Terafab project.

Musk’s potential reliance on ASML is because the Dutch giant is the sole manufacturer of EUV lithography machines in the global market. For Terafab to manufacture pioneering chips at 2nm, ASML’s lithography expertise could be critical.

In other plans on Terafab, Musk is reported to have stated that SpaceX will cooperate with Intel on the Terafab project, and will eventually supply chips for SpaceX and Tesla’s Optimus robot.

ASML Employee Backlash on Musk Keynote

Since ASML employees found out about Musk’s keynote at an internal conference, there seems to be a backlash emerging on Viva Engage, ASML's internal employee platform, according to Tom’s Hardware

Employees have reportedly argued over ASML providing Musk with a platform at an internal conference, clashing with the company's stated commitment to an inclusive culture. Staff specifically highlighted his political activities around the Trump administration, anti-European rhetoric, and what employees described as " sympathies."

As per the NL Times, ASML responded, stating that the company is “committed to an inclusive work environment in which everyone feels valued and respected... and is free to express his or her opinion.” However, the firm didn’t directly address the internal mutiny.

What is Terafab?

Terafab is a joint semiconductor and AI chip venture by SpaceX, xAI and Tesla announced in March 2026. Musk’s large semiconductor fabrication complex aims to overcome global supply chain challenges by producing over one terawatt of AI computing power each year.

Musk intends to kick off with a building development facility in Texas. The purpose of the Texas facility will be to create lithography masks. Eventually, it’ll plan to rapidly prototype both logic and memory chips all in one place, with SpaceX working alongside Intel on the project.

It will eventually provide chips for SpaceX and Tesla's Optimus robots. The preliminary budget was $20 billion, aiming for 2nm production. However, a property tax filing in Grimes County, Texas, suggests initial costs of $55 billion and up to $119 billion if all expansions go ahead.
