Another week, another AI chatbot
It appears that a growing number of tech companies are embracing AI technology and announcing their adoption of it, and the trend seems to be happening on a daily basis.
Snapchat has recently introduced a new feature called My AI, which is a chatbot tailored for Snapchat and powered by OpenAI's GPT technology. The company has revealed in a blog post that the feature will be launched this week, but only as an "experimental" feature for Snapchat Plus subscribers who pay $3.99 per month.
According to Snap CEO Evan Spiegel, the primary concept behind My AI is to make conversations with AI a daily occurrence alongside those with friends and family, something that the messaging service is well-positioned to facilitate.
