Xbox Insiders are now about to try out the Xbox’s AI Powered chatbot for the first time. The tool, called ‘Support Virtual Agent’ is designed to assist gamers with common issues.
In a blog post Megha Dudani, Project Manager Lead at Microsoft wrote that the AI tool was built ‘to help Xbox players more efficiently solve their support-related gaming issues.’
The tool is designed to locate the right answers from Xbox’s comprehensive support guides and answer users' common questions.

Users are able to ask their questions either through text or voice via the Xbox support site.
Xbox’s Support Virtual Agent appears either as a character that animates whilst responding to user queries or an animated Xbox logo. Users are able to customize their experience by selecting which version of the virtual agent they would like to interact with/
How to use Xbox AI Support Virtual Agent?
Xbox’s AI Support Virtual Agent is currently available to Xbox Insiders, a community managed by Microsoft that allows Xbox fans to beta test new updates and give feedback.
1. Ensure you are logged in to your Xbox Insiders account or sign up for access to Xbox Insiders.
2. Visit Xbox Support’s Contact Us Page.
3. Click the box titled ‘Try asking our new support virtual agent.’
4. Support Virtual Agent will launch into a new window.
5. Type your query and hit enter or click the microphone and ask your question verbally.
6. Support Virtual Agent will then answer your question. If it is unable to source an acceptable option users will be given the option to connect to a human life chat agent.
During the initial release users will be able to provide feedback on each automated response from the support Virtual Agent by rating answers with a built- in thumbs up or thumbs down button. Within the chat window there is also a ‘give feedback’ button at the bottom of the page if users would like to give more comprehensive feedback.
