In this interview, Shubhangi Dua, Podcast Host, Producer and B2B Tech Journalist at EM360Tech, speaks to Reece Williams Griffiths, Field CTO at Collibra and former Co-Founder and CEO of Deasy Labs, at Big Data LDN 2026 at Kensington Olympia, London.
They discuss the critical importance of contextual insights and knowledge governance in today’s rapidly changing AI ecosystem.
“A lot of people in IT and data architecture foresee the risks of attaching copilots or agents to very highly unstructured repositories in SharePoint and OneDrive,” Griffiths tells Dua, adding that these teams still don’t have the budget or the authority to invest heavily in such a knowledge management program. This is because often “there isn’t a direct tie to the use case.”
“The reality is that enterprises will only invest in agentic AI systems once they’ve deployed AI agents and seen the consequences of hallucinations,” the Collibra CTO adds.
Ultimately, CEOs are advised to invest in a data foundation program for unstructured data and “unsexy things like tagging all the files in SharePoint, adding basic business metadata, ensuring classified versioning and sensitivity.”
While some of these smaller tasks can be easy to overlook, Griffiths tells Dua to consider the impact of rolling out Copilot on an ungoverned SharePoint site. “Those risks are becoming very obvious to a CEO.”
