ISE London 2021: Event Programme, Speakers and AV Industry Highlights
ISE Live & Online brought the AV industry together in London for two days of networking, technology showcases and discussions about the future of audiovisual technology.

Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) brought ISE Live & Online to London on 23 - 24 June 2021, bringing together AV professionals for networking, technology demonstrations and discussions about the future of the audiovisual industry.
Held at Evolution, Battersea, the two-day event featured speakers and sessions covering AV technology, hybrid events, meeting room technology, XR, education technology, visualisation and the post-pandemic recovery of the AV industry.

What Was ISE London 2021?
ISE London 2021 was part of the ISE Live & Online event series, organised by Integrated Systems Events. Held at Evolution, Battersea on 23 - 24 June 2021, the event brought together professionals from the audiovisual (AV) and systems integration industries for networking, technology showcases, keynote presentations and industry discussions.
Attendees could take part in in-person networking while learning about the latest developments from leading AV brands and industry experts. Measures were put in place to provide a safe environment in line with England's COVID-19 rules at the time.
Mike Blackman, Managing Director of Integrated Systems Events, commented: “We’d like to thank the industry for the support we have received since bringing back live events in the AV industry. ISE Live & Online has provided an opportunity for our industry to reconnect and we are looking forward to welcoming many of you to London, meeting in person and even having a drink together.”
In a relaxed and COVID-protected environment, numerous spaces were provided for attendees to meet with colleagues. These included Eve O’Lution’s Bar, ISE’s own Irish pub, and the Coffee and Connect space powered by Barco.
At the end of Day 1, visitors were also invited to a dedicated Networking Drinks event to connect with industry colleagues and new contacts.

What Was ISE Meeting Maker?
ISE's Meeting Maker matchmaking tool allowed attendees to plan face-to-face meetings in advance, helping visitors connect with relevant professionals during the event.
ISE London 2021 Main Stage Programme
The Main Stage programme explored recovery and growth in the UK and international AV industry following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sessions covered subjects ranging from diversity and inclusion to visualisation technology, professional audio, meeting room technology, flexible classrooms and virtual events.
ISE London Day 1: Wednesday 23 June 2021
Kevin McLoughlin, AVIXA Diversity Council & Director, AV User Group, moderated a discussion on 'Positive Action to Champion Diversity and Inclusion in the AV Industry' with Janice Turner, Diversity Officer at BECTU, and Iffat Chaudhry, Bid Manager at Involve Visual Collaboration.
Owen Ellis, AV User Group Chair, and Greg Jeffreys, AVIXA Standards Steering Committee Chair, discussed 'AV User Group Perspectives' in a fireside chat and Q&A session.
Andrew Dowsett, Channel Manager UK & Ireland at Barco, explored the realities and possibilities surrounding the future of visualisation.
TPi magazine Editor Stew Hume welcomed Tom Sablin from Diagon to discuss the company's involvement in designing the 2021 BRIT Awards ceremony.
In 'Rewarding and Promoting Excellence in the AV Industry', Inavate Editor Paul Milligan and Founder Dan Jago explored career development and recognition within the AV sector.
Jack Robinson, Director of Superyacht Technology, provided an overview of working in the superyacht sector, including its complex political and logistical supply chains.

ISE London Day 2: Thursday 24 June 2021
Futurist and XR expert Amelia Kallman presented 'The Future of Connection', exploring trends and technologies changing how people and businesses connect.
James Kirby, Pro Audio Analyst at Futuresource Consulting, presented 'Pro Audio in AV: Emerging from a Pandemic', sharing insights from the Pro AV Technology Outlook report.
Jordan Deemer, Business Development Manager at Barco, explored developments in meeting room technology and changing expectations for workplace collaboration.
Education Technology magazine Editor Genna Ash-Brown led a discussion with education and AV experts on 'The Future of AV Technologies in the Flexible Classroom'.
TPi magazine Editor Stew Hume hosted 'Events Go Virtual', examining how large-scale events adapted during the pandemic and what this could mean for the future of events.
The Integrated Home Podcast recorded a live edition on 'Remote Monitoring and Management: The Future of Home Integration', hosted by Wildwood PR Director Jeff Hayward.
Coffee and Connect Networking at ISE London
At the conclusion of each Main Stage session, attendees had the opportunity to continue discussions in the Coffee and Connect area, powered by Barco.
Session chairs and panellists were joined throughout the day by experts from Barco and AV User Group Chair Owen Ellis, giving attendees an opportunity to ask questions and network in an informal setting.

The exhibition complemented the Main Stage programme by giving visitors an opportunity to explore AV products, services and emerging technologies in person.
