Here at EM360, we are always committed to helping businesses grow by producing informative, educational, and engaging content. However, this doesn't leave much time to sit back and smell the roses, so while this year has felt like I am Mad Max on the never-ending road that is 2020, I thought it was a good idea to take stock of things we have achieved and give you a sneak peek into 2021.

Content is King

By my calculation, let's do a quick breakdown of what we've produced this year:

  • We typed over 500,000 written words (our hands hurt!)
  • We created 1,200 unique images for our content
  • Recorded 2,400 minutes of podcasts (that's 33 hours!)
  • People spent 5,042 hours watching our videos

That's a lot of content, and we can't thank you enough for reading, listening, watching, and most importantly sharing it with your network.

This year, we said goodbye to two staples of our Editorial calendar, the CxO of the Week piece where we highlighted the top leaders in the enterprise tech landscape and our end of week Opinion Pieces from leading industry experts. The reason is we have to keep things fresh and give the people what they want, and that is interviews and videos. The introduction of the Q&A piece is a way to have more informal discussions with industry leaders, experts, and people who are just changing the game when it comes to tech, and I think these examples highlight what we're trying to achieve.

Could Tallinn, Estonia be the new Silicon Valley? A Q&A with Raj Sabhlok, CEO at Pipedrive

Then we introduced Emerge5, where we explore new tech, upcoming companies, common industry issues, and the brilliant people behind it all. We were able to combine the Top 10 and Tech Chat format to create an exciting and engaging video that allowed us to feature smaller start-up companies who don't necessarily have access to a platform to promote what they do. The Emerge5 was a personal passion project of mine, and I hope to see it improve and grow over the next year.

Now let's not forget about the main eventers of the EM360 content card. Video reigned supreme this year as we hit 1,000 subscribers on YouTube and saw a 120% increase in overall video views compared to 2019. Top 10s still stand atop the favourite forms of content as it's the best way to find out what companies and solutions you should be looking at to help achieve your goals.

Fans of our Tech Chat series will be aware that we had to do things a little bit differently this year. In February, before lockdowns, remote working, and staring at a Zoom meeting for 6 hours a day, we were very fortunate to be able to cover ISE 2020 in Amsterdam, where over 1,300 leading technology and solutions providers came to celebrate all things AV. Then we had to rethink how we did the videos as we usually would be conducting face to face interviews and going to events to meet the innovators in enterprise tech. So, we decided to bring them to us through remote calls and introduced a new look to our videos while still providing all of the cutting edge information and opinions from around the world.

None of this content would be possible without the hard work and dedication of the EM360 production team, our fantastic PR contacts, and you, the reader, because without you, we would just be shouting into the void about things like data, AI, cybersecurity and all things tech. Thank you so much once again for consuming our content, and we hope to keep bringing you the best cutting edge and educational content.

Clients Reign Supreme

At the end of the day, we are a business, and we wouldn't be here today if it weren't for our fantastic clients who we work with, that's just a fact. No one will argue with me when I say it has been an unusual year for all of us around the world, with the unfortunate struggles it has brought to professional and personal lives as we must continue to overcome new challenges and obstacles seemingly on a daily basis.

We are incredibly thankful for such a successful year despite the current climate. On average, we are now generating over $450,000 in new pipeline opportunities for our clients on our growth package. These new opportunities are why companies like Immuta, Darktrace, Google Cloud, SAS, and Riverbed use EM360 for their content creation and demand generation programs.

We have a fantastic team at EM360 who are dedicated to helping companies achieve their goals with qualified and quantified leads. I wanted to take a moment to introduce you to them to highlight some of the fantastic things they have accomplished this year.

Alex Higgins - Alex is one of the newest members of EM360, joining in late 2019; he hit the ground running in 2020 and has become the best new sales starter in terms of revenue performance in a single year throughout our entire ten-year history.

Ali Behbehani - Ali is a British expat now based in Brazil and joined us in mid-2020. He has hit the ground running taking over our networking and UC space, hoping to grow these areas to produce an exciting and groundbreaking podcast series.

David Argent - My rule at EM360 is that if there's something David doesn't know, then it's not worth knowing. As well as leading the team to success once again, he managed to secure a deal with Cloudera to produce an unprecedented 12-month campaign allowing us to create twelve podcasts and articles as well as six videos that have made for an impressive series of content.

Joe Miranda - Joe might be the calmest man I've ever met in my life, nothing phases him, and he takes on any challenge that comes his way. This is lucky for Joe as he had the critical task this year of returning to his home state of California to open up a US office of EM360 (spoilers) that will be ready for business in 2021.

Marko Rukavina - The Croatian heavy hitter who deals in all things cybersecurity has been hands-on with suggesting and implementing exciting changes for where EM360 is heading. Maintaining his usual high-level new business relationships, his ability to deliver allowed him to re-sign another agreement with industry giant Darktrace.

Sade Hatcher - Sade has an exceptional ability to connect with people and solve problems in a timely manner. This is why she was the perfect candidate to be promoted to our Customer Success Manager this year to be hands-on with our clients to see the best results and solve problems before they arise.

This year we have produced our highest number of analyst-led podcasts for our clients, and with higher demand comes the need for more presenters. It has been fantastic to welcome the data whisperer himself, Scott Taylor, onto our Cloudera podcast series and now branching out to cover other episodes. Dr. Eric Cole has hosted numerous podcasts this year covering all cybersecurity areas and even partaking in Tech Chat and Emerge5 episodes. We have also signed partnerships with EMA and Gigaom to use their analysts to bring the best insights to all of our podcasts in 2021.

As we move into 2021, we are standing by our commitment to helping businesses grow by producing informative, educational, and engaging content. Our content of analyst moderated podcasts, videos, and interactive whitepapers help us deliver dynamic qualified and quantified leads to ensure you achieve your growth plans for the new year.

From all of us at EM360 we can’t thank you enough for your support this year and we are looking forward to working with you in 2021, and we would like to wish you and your family a very happy, safe, and restful festive season.
