CxO of the Week: Dr. Falk Herrmann, Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity

This week’s CxO in the spotlight is Dr. Falk Herrmann is CEO at Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity. Since his appointment in 2019, Falk has been driving the continued success and growth of the company in the decade ahead. Falk is leading the cybersecurity brand with a focus on cutting-edge security and privacy enhancement for businesses and clients.

A History in Safety and Security

Before joining Rohde and Schwarz, Falk already had an outstanding history in the security space. Both a mechanical engineer and security expert, Herrmann gained extensive management experience on an international level during a 20-year career with the Bosch Group. Here, he was responsible mainly for security and safety systems, where he helped to keep the company and its clients secure. 

Across various managerial positions, Dr. Herrmann successfully created and implemented businesses strategies which helped Bosch grow and expand across numerous markets. Over two decades, Herrmann supported the launch of Bosch’s research and technology centre in California and growth of the Automotive Electronics Division. He also held a number of management positions in the Security Division across Germany and the US. 

Between 2012 and 2018, Dr. Herrmann led the global business unit at Bosch for Intrusion Detection Systems within the Security Systems Division in New York. He also held a role as the CTO of global business unit Security in Europe. 

A Thought Leader in Secure Systems

Dr. Herrmann has an MS and PhD in Engineering from the University of Braunscheweig, which he has put to exceptional use in his various leadership positions. Now, at Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity, Herrmann wants to set a course for continued growth and development at the business. 

Herrmann says that his goal is to position his business as the number one solution for long-term market success with cybersecurity. He wants to gain the trust of various high-growth segments, offering interesting new opportunities that will shape the future of safety.
